I picked up what I believe is a #447 8oz pecking finishing hammer.
The handle was no good so I took it off, then removed the rust, and polished the face. It has some deep dings and pitting but still came out pretty good.
I’m contemplating doming the pick end back to its original ballpein shape and possibly painting it red like factory. I would love to find a 12” oval handle like it came with.
Nice tool. Good balance. Crisp forging lines. Cleanly punched rounded rectangle handle eye.
The logo got double stamped.
