Just signed up after reading a discussion on sandblasters and especially Skat Blast units. You folks rock! What a great bunch of ideas. Hope to learn something from all of you. Heading to garage since we have plenty of snow and ice here in Winston-Salem to work on a couple of projects. Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge to those of us that just "piddle around"

Did you get much snow in your area from the storm?

I try to get out to the garage every day, as someone on the site correctly pointed out, Its my hobby. Its still a work in progress and probably will be for the next few years.

We got about five inches and a bunch of sleet....could of been worse. I was putting up a new four foot led light to replace an old light. Hope it helps over the welding table I use. Bought it at lowes for $35 and plan to buy a few more if it does what I think it wil do. Amazing some of the new stuff out there in the last two years

I have tried to teach myself to mig weld.....bout like learning to build ships in a bottle! I show horses so I have many avenues for new and old horse shoes. I have worked at making things from these such as pumpkins, Christmas trees, owls and various stars. I have piddled with other welding projects on a small scale....basically this is something to keep my sanity. I really enjoy it. Made some things before Christmas and next thing I know wife showed some owls off and I had orders for the holiday. Told her to quit doing that mess.....cuts in to my drinking time!

Guess between Wilson and Lexington we got the BBQ covered ( I am up the road from Lexington 10 minutes). Thanks for the welcome mat....seems to be a good bunch of folks around here...
