Hello all. I've been trying to figure out how to post and introduction for the past 40 minutes, and I hope I'm at least close. I'm Bill, I'm 67, mostly retired auto mechanic in northeast Oklahoma and looking for someone who might be able to help me with a Snap-On YA700 I just resealed but still doesn't work. I'll hush for now and hopefully someone will send me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

In the event there's a hydraulic jack specialist out there, here's my issue. After putting new seals and such in my YA700 it will now raise up about an inch or so when I pump the handle down, but the jack falls down again as soon as I raise the handle. I'm sure it's a simple fix, but I guess you have to be at least as smart as the jack to fix it, and apparently I don't meet that criteria.

I’d start with this:
1. Bleed the jack to make sure all Air is out of the system, check oil.
2. Check the valve components, in particular make sure the upper ball is in place. The correct order from the bottom to the top is, Small ball, small weight (make sure it falls down below the upper seat), Big ball and lastly the larger weight.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I had a larger weight. Just the small ball, small weight, big ball and then the piece that threads in. I did have a hard time getting the small ball in initially. Finally tapped it a little with a small punch to make everything fit. I'll double check. Thanks again!

FYI... Balls should glide easily into there hole/seat, if persuasion is required.. Stop and make sure the proper sized ball is being utilized.

You indeed could have problems.. I would try removing the hydraulic unit from the frame, remove all valve components and finding a solid surface and give it a few bounces and see if anything dislodges. The next step involves a complete tear down and some pressurized air to launch that ball into never to be found again land.
