I was directed to this site and have learned a great deal already....one day, in fact.
We just closed on a house yesterday in Texas, and I live/work in the Middle East, about to leave for good.
More importantly, the garage is a split 3-car (2+1 detached. The Elise is going in the 1-car and I want to purchase/install equipment to restore a car in the 2-car. But for now, it is flooring, electrical, and an attic hoist system (for light parts, including body panels).
Garage Usage: Air tools, grinding, welding, plasma cutting when required, chop saw, sheet metal fabrication, media blast cabinet.....in other words, a working shop.
Present Worries: Electrical, running 220/240v dedicated circuits for the welder and compressor. Floor, as I am not sure how epoxy or tiles will hold up to MIG/TIG welding....any advice is appreciated. Lift, 2-post vs. 4-post for working on cars as well as storage - a hybrid use.
At any rate, it's great to be here, and I hope to learn a lot.
Stephen.
