Hello all,
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ron and I'm a fellow toolaholic. I got my first toolbox at 8 for Christmas and I just turned 29 this past June. I grew up in Schiller Park, IL on the same street Wilton tool was on (and played street corner baseball in their parking lot when I was a kid).
I’m currently “remodeling” my 1 car garage. So far I have primered and painted the walls and ceiling, rustoleum epoxy (solvent) my floor 2 coats dark gray with heavy sprinkles/chips and the clear coat, hung about 25” of unfinished oak cabinets from Menards on 2 walls. I have purchased 2 of the HF 41” base boxes built into a 28x96 workbench and I have a 41” top/bottom husky BB toolbox I got from home depot 6-7 years ago. I have mostly Snap On and Craftsman with a few SK, Proto and gear wrench mixed in. I was fortunate while “growing up” to have an uncle who sold Snap On so lots of screwdrivers, ratchets, wrenches, along with promo mugs, girly calendars etc as gifts over the years, even have a working SO toolbox radio.
I drive an older Mercedes diesel that I’m in the process of converting to run on veggie oil.
I’ll be posting pictures soon as my garage is still in the messy/remodeling stage but coming along quite nicely.
I’ve been a ‘member’ here for a few months but this is my first post.
