Introduction: I am homeowner undergoing significant renovations in North County Inland. I am a knowledge hound and my attention to detail is second to none. I will be demo'ing my kitchen and moving gas, oven. egress and plumbing utilities significantly changing the footprint and replacing the entire first floor tile. So far the mortar is sticking to the up lifted tile and not the slab. But I anticipate my luck running out soon. Thank you in advance for providing answers and advice for all the challenging and dumb questions I will ask.

Welcome from NC. I spent a lot of time at Miramar and Pomerado Rd. But I suspect you are further north than that.
