I've been lurking here for a couple months getting ideas for my new shop. My wife and I bought a house last fall with 15 acres and an attached 23x25 garage (my first) which has been great, no more oil changes in the driveway, but we mainly keep her car in there and there's also the laundry facilities, chest freezers and general storage, so I need something MORE! I work as a commercial fisherman and need an area for building gear as well as working on vehicles 4-wheelers and storage for my ol 78 Bronco among other things.
My plan is for a 32x48ft pole barn style, with a loft. I've been talking to local contractors and will probably go that route, mostly due to the fact I gotta go fishing during the building season. I may end up finishing interior myself though.
Plans are to start next spring.
