Hi all
My name is Cory and I joined a little while ago, but today is my first time posting. I bought my first house about a year and a half ago and I'm loving every minute of it. I'm the type of guy that likes to do everything himself...painting, fixing stuff, landscaping, etc. And with the interior of the house almost done, I am looking to move onto the garage which def needs work. Below is a panoramic picture of what I got. So as you can see, stuff is everywhere. The work bench you see, I got not too long ago and has be invaluable so far.
What I can use are some tips on the layout...where to put things, location and placement of free standing shelves, etc. By the way...anyone got any suggestion on some inexpensive free standing shelf units? The one I have now is some Edsal special I got from home depot. It's ok, but its flimsy feeling and crooked as a politician.
Additionally, my floor needs help. The previous owner of the house had a dog I guess, and there are **** and piss stains that have become one with the floor. On top of that, I found termites coming through a crack in slab this past spring (apparently GA got hit hard with termites this season), so now I have those treatment holes in my garage floor. With those holes present, I don't think I can just epoxy over them if I were to go the epoxy route, right?
So to wrap up:
new here, name's Cory
suggestions on garage placement/layout
suggestions on free standing shelving
suggestions on floor due to pet stains and termite treatment holes
suggestions on wall paint color
suggestions on cool gadgets I might have never heard of for a garage
Pics

pics of crappy stained floor
