Hi all, found this site through another forum and have been a massive fan since. I live in Melbourne with my better half and wasn't really brought up with tools and cars, either are many of my mates(e.g. One mate wouldn't change a light bulb without needing an instruction manual) I suppose my obsession started out with loving old cars. I started playing with old 4WD's and went to Aussie muscle not long after. One day I was doing something simple and the tool broke and I got upset enough to go and buy decent tools rather than crappy ones and have never looked back in filling the garage with all the tools I may or may not need, but that doesn't really matter does it! So I'm sort of a self taught home mechanic and tool enthusiast. I love forums like this and appreciate everyone's input. Currently have a double garage with an HZ one tonner with a worked 308 (may not make sense to anyone outside of aus) in there, I've nearly finished restoring it and have yet to decide to restore another car or hit up metal work and wood work for a while, undecided but will continue to scroll through the many threads until something sparks my interest. My biggest problem is convincing the girl that spending as much time and money as I do is a good idea!

Cheers

Dane

here is a few shots, plenty of room for extra tools and machinary:) The other 2 daily drivers have been relegated to the driveway.

I decided i wanted a very strong Ute but ive always loved old school. It turned from a simple respray and tidy up to full rebuild, not nut and bolt but full interior, wiring, front end, rear, tray and a worked engine. All done by myself, except for maching on block
