Our house has been a work in progress since we moved in over 25 years ago! Started with a playhouse for our daughter and has progressed to my current project of adding a 600 sf master suite.
Currently completing the framing. Have roof trusses up and completing roof framing. Discovered this site while looking for ways to frame gable end overhang. Reading stories on this site, think I may have goofed when ordering the trusses since gable truss is same height as the others.
Any suggestions on what to do from here appreciated. Thinking of notching top chord and outrigger (both 2x4s) to interlock and nail thru top of outrigger. Since there is a wall below the truss, can't see what harm will come from doing this.
Always looking for tips, ideas and suggestions, so will be checking this frequently.
