I have been reading this forum for about a month and have been posting for a little less than that, but I never introduced myself, so here it goes:

Hi, my name is Al and I'm a toolaholic. I stated out with just Craftsman tools, but then some older guys said "Come onto the tool truck, everybody does it, it's safe". So I thought "OK, I can quit anytime I want and it won't hurt anything". I was wrong, as soon as I stepped onto my first tool truck all was lost, I fell in love with EVERYTHING I saw and had to have it all! The hard part was explaining to my father why I kept having tool payments (he's my accountant). I don't think he ever understood my problem.

That was almost 30 years ago and I still have a hard time convincing my wife that 3 complete sets of tools isn't enough, I want more! She tries to understand, but I can see that it is hard for her seeing me like this. I don't know where to turn for help, so I figured if I can't quit, then I should at least hang out with people with the same disorder, someplace where people understand me and my problem.

I understand that there is a 6 point program (or 12 point if that is your preference) and that all types are welcome (Craftsman, Snap On, Mac, Matco, etc.). I am happy to be here and hope to stay around a long time. Thank you for putting up with my rambling and remember that "there is no tool like an old tool"

I crack me up!!!!!!! :bounce:

Hey Big Al,

Don't feel bad. Few real men can survive a trip to the Tool Truck. Welcome to the club!
