Hello,
I am almost retired and am setting up a home workshop. Since I can't sell any of my projects I might as well fix them. My top projects to get done:
Get Cessna back in air;
completely restore 1969 XKE roadster (matching numbers);
convert a 914 Type 4 engine into a 1969 912 without making any irreversible changes;
push my mechanic to get the 406 vortec chevy finished and bolt it in my 1993 Caprice cop car;
I've purchased an ancient "Rotary" mid-scissor lift, a used 120 volt Miller plasma cutter, some used tanks/torches, a Harbor Freight 120 volt mig, and used my discount coupon at HF for a bunch of cheap air tools, scalers, sanders, etc. and some used engine hoist/stands/jacks. I've never metal worked/welded before-I won't be welding on the Jag myself.
Oh, I can't do much work at the airport due to rules, so I hope to build a concrete floor home garage soon, for now I work on the shell floor "shed".
Anyway, I will have lots of "dumb" questions soon on some basic questions of set up, repair, and use of the tools. Wow, it is interesting that the longest thread here is about real estate easements.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards, SKip
