Hello everyone,

I have been lurking for a few days now and have found some awesome stuff on here. About 3 months ago I moved into a new house with an unfinished 500 sq. ft. garage. I'm excited about planning out the space and getting it put together! My last property had 6 1/2 bays of garage space but it was very broken up and the ceilings were less than 8 feet. Though the floor space was plentiful it wasn't very organized. The previous owner who built it used to restore old cars (I was told Pontiacs) and you could tell that as he needed more space he added on. The two bays that were insulated and heated were rather small (I'm assuming the 440 sq. ft., I never measured), I barely had room for my '86 Chevy Blazer CUCV plow truck.

Now in the new home, I have a much more versatile space, though there is much less of it. I have also talked my wife into letting me have most of the basement for a wood shop...after the garage is done of course.

I will post pictures later but I have started my garage project with a new service entrance and panel (went from a 60 Amp 20 space to a 200 Amp 40 space). Though I am still waiting for the ever prompt National Grid to come upgrade their cable, I have started planning out the rest of my electrical layout. I am hoping to have the electrical, insulation, and Sheetrock up before the snow flies! Still undecided as to how I'm going to heat it but that may be a project for next summer, probably can get away with something portable for now.

That's just a little bit about me and my project I have going.

Glad to be a part of this community!
