Hello from Chicago (actually NW burbs outside of Chicago)!
Happened across your forum because I was interested in putting in a Bendpak 4-post lift (HD-9 vs. HD-7W) in my garage, and joined because there is a ton of friendly, useful information here! We are a 5 car family, with a 3 car (with some extra room on the sides) garage. I've always been interested in power tools of all kinds, minor general home projects, cars, etc. Lately have been developing an interest in autocross.
My daily driver is a 3 series, but I recently purchased a used '02 Miata. Reason for getting the lift is not only to store the Miata, but also to help with working on the Miata, general maintenance on the other cars, etc.
Bendpak HD-9 is on order, but debating whether to get one (or two) of the RJ-45 rolling bridge jacks... Also having one of the three garage doors put on a high-lift rail system so that I have room for the lift.
My garage is decently roomy, but modest. Some of the garages I'm seeing on here are pretty amazing... I wouldn't mind living in some of them, let alone work on cars in them!
