Howdy everyone, I'm Pete, and I'm beginning plans to build a garage :)

I currently live in a 1000 sf slab ranch with a gravel drive and no garage, just a 8 x 10 metal shed I can't stand up in...

As you can imagine it's not ideal. As I'm an 'advanced' hack of a wannabe shade tree mechanic it really stinks.

So, do I starting asking questions here or post again in the general garage thread? I'm super fired up and only get one shot at it. Thanks in advance.

I was raised in the Maple/Bedford/Garfield area, lived in Slavic Village, Ohio City, and the Clark/Denison area. Spent a few years in Northern Parma. Everywhere I go, the neighborhoods turn into hoods lol. Although Clark/Denison was pretty messed up when I got there.

Trying to get out past the line, when I bought a house a few years back I went southeast, now I'm in the 271/Rt 8/80 area. Love the more open spaces and unlocked doors, but I still miss the inner neighborhoods, particularly the little bakeries & butchers, and neighborhood bars (some of them!).
