I've been landing on GJ more and more recently in my random Googling and I figure I may as well join up.
I've worked as a mechanic and welder in a handful of industries over the years and have always had some kind of automotive hobby on the side. These days I'm a CNC machinist and welder in the aircraft/rotorcraft industry and rarely use hand tools professionally (excluding micrometers and similar instruments, and the occasional grinder when doing weld prep). To get my clicky-ratchety fix I build custom motorcycles for fun... kind of nice this way as I can have all my "real" tools at home where I use them without having to maintain two of everything.
