Hello gents,

My name is Grant, I am newer home owner in Northern Colorado. We bought our first home last May, with a fairly large 2 car garage. With all of my tools and my motorcycle, we can fit my wife's car in, but my Tundra has to stay outside

Because my Truck will probably never go in the garage for as along as we own the home, I have been developing the garage into my man cave/work shop. Just today, I had it drywalled and textured. I still need to paint it (worst job ever), install some new wall outlets (why do new homes come with one damn outlet in a garage?!) and install some hanging shop lights.

As far as who I am: I grew up in Colorado, spent four years in the Marine Corps, and after getting out I have spent the last 3 years in Law Enforcement.

Hi Grant, welcome to the GJ from Maine! Sometimes you just have to make sacrifices, like keeping the truck outside (or maybe the wife's ride?). ;)

Thank you for your service, now maybe we can help you. There is tons of info available here.

LHD: post up some pictures of your man cave in progress if you can and want to and maybe a few of us might have some ideas to help you that you haven't thought of.

you are in a great place here and most of us have to make sure our wife's car is in the garage. Happy wife, happy wife is the general saying around here.

cheers and welcome

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been lurking here for awhile, always oogling the gallery! I will have to start a thread here soon with some pictures of the in progress build. Between 70 hour work weeks, I will be working on my garage and building 500 feet of fence. Needless to say, it will take some time.
