Thought it was time to stop in and introduce myself. I live in Colorado and have been into tools since a very young age. My first tools were a leather punch and a leather awl and some leather chisels. When my great grandfather passed, I remember being brought down to the basement and told I could have a few tools of my liking. The awl and chisels are what I chose.

I've done residential construction from framing to finish work. Hopefully I can help out in that area.

I really like hunting, fishing, coaching baseball and working on my house.

Thank you so much for such a great site and a place to share such amazing amount of knowledge.

Cheers!

Welcome, my good man. Glad to have you aboard.

Of all the tools to choose from, why did those particular ones appeal to you?

Welcome to the GJ. My Dad did some leather tooling in his younger years, I never tried it myself. I'm guessing there is a story behind your tool selection in the basement. You sound like you have a lot to contribute and add to the mix.

Thanks for the welcome.

I chose those tools because I remembered him using them once. He was working hard with them and I remember him looking down his glasses at his work. I had no clue what they were really for but the memory was impressive enough that I grabbed them.

Pretty suprising the parent let me have them being as I was probably only 4 when he passed. Still have them.

Cheers
