Hello from Des Moines, Iowa

Howdy folks. I live in Des Moines, Iowa and have been poking around this forum for a while now.

I finally dove in on my own garage project and wanna start a journal here. I'm just trying to get a post or 5 so that I can start my build thread with some real-live photos.

I've always wanted a 3-car garage, but my wife and I settled on a house with an oversized 2-car garage that had a space for a workshop in the walk-out basement.

I threw up a garden-shed in the back yard to move all the lawn tools out of the garage, and I have a woodworking/tinkering shop in my basement. So, the purpose of my garage will strictly be for all things vehicle, bicycle, skateboard, and homebrew related... And I'd like the interior to look like an extension of the rest of the house...

I still wish I had that 3rd stall (we have 3-cars), but I live on a city cul-de-sac and there's no room for expansion.
