I've been using this forum for ideas and advice for building my pole barn. So I figured I would join to help other people as well. I drew up a design and had Fingerlakes Construction erect the shell and I have been finishing it myself with help from friends and family for the past 2 years. Main barn is 42x63 with 14' ceilings with an attached 24x24 with 9' ceilings. 3 overhead doors in the front, one in the back, one in between the two shops and one on the outside of the 24x24. I'm currently getting ready for spray foam R31 ceiling R21 walls with a radiant slab. Front and rear porches, front will have a stone patio with a fire pit, rear will be concrete for anything else. I can go on and on but figured I would give the layout if anyone has a question about anything they are thinking about doing.

Welcome Gearhead. I lived in Dutchess County in the late 60s in the Poughquag area. Pretty country. Good luck with your barn, pretty good sized building.

Welcome..I lived in Wappingers and Newburgh until moving to MB SC 5 years ago. A little homesick, missing the lovely fall there !
