Hi, Just joined today. You guys certainly know your stuff, and very entertaining too.
My favourite cars are anything with a V8 and anything with a turbo.

Fave tool brand has to be Armstrong!

It's just short of power! I have plans to fit an ABY 20 valve motor and 6 speed box from a late model S2.

Oh, that's going to be nice. As of late, I was actually thinking of getting an S6+, as they are somewhat plentiful and have low resales here. It was a thought to bring one to the US, but I'd like to get away from the T44 based chassis, even though it's a C3. The whichever model V8 should be plenty reliable and donor parts would likely come from the ETKA and order by part number if I bring one to the US.

I was also thinking of picking up a 2000 or later A6 V8 Avant instead of an S6, which has way more resale to it.

Where does one get parts in the EU?

A v8 avant would be good, you could carry a whole load of tools in there!
Parts for mine are hard to source- i tend to scour e-bay, and i also use 'quattro corner' who are in Bromsgrove, England.
