Good evening chaps,

As I was searching the internet looking for inspiration for my garage extension I stumbled upon this site.

It looked very interesting and informative so I thought I would join up to find out more.

Cheers

Welcome to the board! How big are you planning on going? The gf is English and space seems to command a premium over there.

Yes, it is tiny by US standards. It is currently a single car, free standing brick garage next to the house built in the 1990's. I am having it demolished, widened by four feet, attached to the side of the house and lengthened to the rear to make a slightly wider than a single car garage but 35 feet long to accommodate two "old" cars in tandem (if that makes sense).

Welcome to the forum from Wisconsin.

Don't wait until the new garage is done to post pictures, post them during the tear down of the old garage and the construction of the new one. We love pictures so the more you post the better it will be.

The more depth the better. Making the most of what you have is what it's really all about!

Thanks for all your welcomes.

I will post pics when I get the green light from the builders.

As for the depth, there will be my Morgan Plus 4 and a (not yet bought) Austin A7 Box so I should be OK at 35 feet.

Cheers

Willy: about the only negative about this site is you'll learn so much about tools and stuff that you'll never have $100 in your wallet again in your life. you'll have plenty of tools and learn the skills to use them so if you like that then please stick around and welcome to the group.

cheers and i agree take LOTS AND LOTS of pictures of the new garage and post as many as you'd like to.

WELCOME
