Well,
Time for some pictures here.
Our little house have some worldwar 1 history.
It is known as "the essex farm" (The name was given by the '2nd Battalion Essex Regiment' in 1915 who where stationed in the area)
It is surrounded by commonwealth war comission area. this shortly mean the ground is donated from this city to the UK.
To be short:
On the south side i have a cemetery (
LINK) with close to 1171 uk, 9 canadian & 5 german
soldiers rest in peace.
On the east side ther is a medical shelter. (
LINK) Known from its major commander Doctor John McRae known from the poem "In Flanders Fields"
The house came on a 7500m² ground (yes meters is i'm from europe i'm no good with inches, feet, acres & yards.

)
The house is rebuild from zero in 1979. comes with a garage atached to the house fits 1 car and a bike. ;-)
There is a detached garage in the garden. 2 car sized building with place for 1 car and an open BBQ area.
And there is a barn 10 x 15m.
Split up in 3 areas, Front right side is an 'open' space no garage door 10m deep and 5m wide.
Then in the back left ther is an are 5m x 5m that is open, and have a 3 lock door system to guide the animals over 3 fields.
then there is a L shaped are 10 x 10m that is a closed are. (my shelter

)
Most of the little spare time we have was to refresh the house. (repaint and take care of the dark wood work, change old wood stove to pellet stove, renew bathroom and kithen to 2012 standards etc...)
Over here we need paperwerk on all changes we do, so i have paperwork running to change the barn into a storage room and close the backside. hang 2 new garage doors in the front so the complet 150m² is locked and become 1 open space inside. But takes time before papers get approved here. so be patiance on upgrade updates. ;-)
thing is when you apply for changes, you have to hang a paper so neighbours can check and form a complaint if they don't like your plan. and then there comes an investigation. I my neighbours is commonwealth war ground, the papers have to go to the UK where the queen have to give me her blessing. (or close to, but you get my point)
