I am pulling together some ideas for a simple garage with eventual growth potential. I have an immediate need to securely house tools and gardening equipment, as well as a full-sized diesel Kubota RTV. This will be located at my eventual retirement home. For now, due to budgetary constraints, I must start small BUT will add on ever few years as the finances allow. I would like to wind up with a place that supports a woodshop equipped with the essentials for light project building and some lumber storage, as well as a small room for painting and finishing furniture. Sound ambitious?
Wait, there's more.
It will be located next to an active Trout Stream. This means I cannot pour a footing or any sort of "permanent" foundation. I will have to carefully level block and drive rods to anchor.
So, are there any suggestions other than purchasing a different piece of property?
