Good evening to all,
I'd like to start off by telling you a little about my self. I grew up in Miami, FL and I have had the opportunity to play with tools since I was able to walk. My Grand father had every tool one could need, and my Father allowed me to take apart anything, and everything, even if that meant not being able to put it back together, and destroying perfectly working items. We had some junk cars on our property, and transmissions, broken lawnmowers etc, and I was always interested in seeing the guts of how something worked. As a young teen (12 - 13) I would change the oil on our cars, and help out rebuilding Camaro's. By 17 I could fix just about anything TVs, VCRs, Changing Transmissions, etc. So the tinkering payed off. I'm no mechanic, or Technician, I don't turn a wrench for a living, I just like fixing stuff for people, and myself, instead of paying someone else to do it for me.
I recently (two years ago) started reading almost every worthy thread on this board, and have learned quite a bit about tools. I'll also buy from hear when the need arises. So that's how I got into tools, and have been building up my stash from a young age, sadly no inheritance.
I'd like to thank all the contributors of the board! I, and I'm sure many like me, are grateful for the lessons, reviews, and all the experienced members who contribute so much... Thank you.
