Found your site from someone over on The Hull Truth. Looking forward snoopin around at what some of you guys have done to/in your garages...
Just sold my home in NJ and moved to FL full time, had a nice 24x36 garage/shop there. There were a few things I always wanted in a garage that I couldn't have there, or more or less change about the set up I had... So the new place has a oversize two car attached garage which my goal is/was to be for parking our two main rides, a small work bench, one real shelf all the way around, and nothing on the floor. A 12 x24 shed for additional storage but primarily for where our 3 Harleys sleep. Finally my shop, where I can make dust without getting cars or scoots dirty. Outdoors with a roof, this was taken before shelf with cleaning stuff, sink, and a few other things were added. Part of the reason I'm here is to see what you guys recommend on something; I'm thinking about getting a concrete cutter guy out to cut a hole so I can flush mount a motorcycle lift similar to the one I have now in the photo, but it would be a better quality with pneumatic lift. Suggestions welcome

First, welcome. Where are you at in Florida?

Second, If you've just moved down here be aware we have really high (100%) humidity nearly year round. Anything you store outside, like your toolbox and tools will be battling against surface rust. Even under the carport, you'll go out there and it will look like it has rained due to moisture.

Thanks for the welcome, in Stuart now.
Yeah it is humid, but I'm used to salt and humidity, brutal. Actually was a snowbird for 14 years prior to becoming a 'Damn Yankee' ... Quite familiar with the corrosion, my old home in NJ was on the coast, garage 50' from the bay, 400' to the beach. So actually, I'm now 1/4 mile from the inlet albeit surrounded by water, it's not near as bad.

I used to tow the boat down with the Tahoe in October, fly back up for Christmas and drive the car down for the rest of the winter... During those two months the car was in the garage, while I was away. This is what I had to do for it, a nor-easter or even a new/full moon phase and some wind would put a little bay water on the floor. By the time Sandy blew through the Porsche was full time in Florida and wifes Mustang was up there. Fortunately while watching the storm going up the coast (from here in FL) I decided to send a flat bed and moved it offshore... Got 44" of water in there.... Ruined LOTS of stuff, including tools...
