Ever since I can remember I've wanted a house with enough land to build a shop/garage/storage building to accomodate my cars. Late last year we sold our house of 21 years and are now renting an apartment while looking for a new house. The problem is we can't agree on a house.
I am renting three rv storage units (12x60) and have taken over my folks two car garage. I hate living with all my stuff scattered but we can't come to a decision. My wife wants to stay in the same area which is mostly suburban subdivisions where houses don't have much land and even if they did the home owner associations take a dim view of the kind of activities we car guys lengage in. Lots of significant size which are close by but not in a subdivision have skyrocketed in price beyond my means.
I am sure I am not the only one who has had a similar problem and would love to hear from you and how you resolved the problem.
