I came across this forum while looking for information on insulating my garage.
About me - I work for a glass company We produce specialty glass for museums, sky scrapers, solar panels, touch screens, all sorts of glass. I bought my home 3 months ago, mainly for the garage. It's a 10 year old 24x24 single door unfinished garage. The overhead door faces the alley, with about a 12 foot gravel driveway and a 12 foot concrete driveway. Right now it houses my girlfriends jeep, my dirtbike, and my hunting/fishing boat. The boat will most likely end up in the driveway once the duck blind goes on it unless we are going to get snow. I turned the attic area into a storage space but it's not completely closed off. It's about half full with close to 1000 decoys. The house doesn't have a basement so I want to turn the garage into my get away.
I'm pretty good with DIY, my downside heating and air conditioning. My neighbor has his garage set up like a house and that's what I hope to accomplish.
