Hi everyone! I'm under contract to close on a house next week, and I'm looking for ideas for my garage/shop layout.
The house has a 20x31 3-car attached garage with a 16ft and 9ft door on the long side. My plan for this is just to keep the normal fleet that aren't really project status (Model 3, C6 Grand Sport, MK1 TT Cabrio). I'll put my pressure washer setup and have my bicycles in there, but I'd like to keep this garage mostly empty if I can help it.
There is also a 30x40 shop. I think the ceilings are 12ft where the ceiling meets the walls. It has two 12x10 roll up doors on either of the 30ft ends offset to one side, and a man door on the 30ft side of the house. The listing for the house was pretty terrible, and I didn't take any pictures. I'm looking for 30x40 ideas. I have two Rotary 2-post lifts that I envision putting on an angle so I can drive in the door and angle to the opposite side and hope to have two angled lift bays and be able to put a third car next to the lifts and be able to work on it with the doors open--I don't know if I'm being ambitious, and I really don't know how it'll all fit until I get in. Any suggestions on simple drawing tools that will let me put stuff in a 30x40 space to scale?
