Just checking in.

Been reading everything I can on here getting ready for my build and so far have been able to find just about everything has already been discussed. I'm adding a 12 x 30 3rd bay onto my existing 21x25 two car at the same time as doing new siding, gutters and deck/patio etc.

I started reading on here to make sure I was thinking of everything that needed done while the structure was going up. I've ended up with a window and a man door to the backyard patio and scissor trusses to give a 12' height in the peak and a 9'6" ten feet out from center. This will give me flexibility for at least a storage lift even though I'm not 100% sure I will ever get one. I ended up deciding that I didn't want to go wider because of how my yard lays out. I know it will be crowded for a full lift but I'm ok with that. I almost do more woodwork than car work anymore anyways.

I'm not having anything on the inside finished so I will have a blank canvas to work with.

The only thing I haven't found discussed here is what to do with the wall between the bays. When I started getting quotes I had assumed that the wall just goes away but talking to the contractors alot of the time they just put a man door in and call it a day. This is pretty interesting to me and as of now we are doing a double door opening. I like this in that I can just insulate and heat a workshop and even make a sort of a clean (or dirty) room. On the other side, that wall can really cramp wrenching on a car, especially if there is a lift. It's about $1200 to add the beam and open it up. Any thoughts?
