I live in Las Vegas, NV and have a home with a 2 1/2 car garage and a seperate 1 car garage.
The 2 1/2 car garage is kept nice with stone on the walls 1/3 of the way up and faux leather above that. We are adding porcelain tile to look like antique barn wood on the floor and a fireplace in the side wall with a temp sensor to turn the fireplace on anytime the main door or interior door is opened and the outside temp is below 55 degrees. Purely for ambiance. People always ask me why I spend so much in my garage . . . I ask why they spent $5,000 on a front door and only the UPS guy sees it. When people come to my home they are usually riding with me or following in their car and the garage is the first impression of my home . . . PLUS I like it when I pull into it.
We recently added a Liftmaster 8500W jackshaft opener and moved the tracks all the way up against the ceiling, which made a huge improvement. The next step is to add a false ceiling below the open door for the low profile LED can lights.
The single bay is my next project. We are trying to figure out how to install the jack shaft opener on that side to maximize clearance as I have a 4 post lift in this bay. I will make a post directed towards that problem.
As far as the residents of my garage:
My Cobra - most fun you can have in life!
Quattroporte - daily driver
Raptor - fun in the dirt
Looking forward to getting to know everyone here as I further develop my garages.
