Hey everyone, first post here but been hovering around the site for a few weeks now. From Las Vegas, into muscle cars, in the process of mildly restoring my 68 camaro, into Welding, I-Car Certified after a month from first touching a welder.... not sure if that is a testament to me picking up quickly or the test was too easy.... I was on the edge of pulling my hair out and really stressed and frustrated during the test but not easy for me at all. I am just getting into fiberglassing and into everything else cars and the culture of what this forum is about. Hope to be a contributor to this forum and learn some more.

Yeah, seen that. Like the job you did on the truck. Looking to pick up a 69 C20 and might need some pointers in the future, good to know someone on here in Vegas.

Welcome to the site.
I am also restoring a 1st gen Camaro. (1969)

Thanks for the welcome. How deep of a restoration? Mine looks nice and runs but has some underlying rust holes around the doors, rear quarters, trunk lid and others here and there.

My 69 is stripped to the shell.
The only thing I didn't take out is the headliner. It's in great condition.
It's an original California car with NO rust anywhere.
(I'm from Wisconsin... in the "rust belt" & have an original Wisconsin [rusty] one also)
I had a guy who is known as "Mr Pace" (as in Camaro pace cars... he's got a bunch of 'em & runs a restoration shop) come & look at mine & he said he couldn't believe how nice it was & he said he's never seen one that clean.
I'm surprised you have rust problems where you are. Isn't it fairly dry there with no snow / salt in winter?
Good luck with your project & I recently found a good Camaro forum if you're interested (but can't think of it right now)

It is dry here, got the car from Texas where it's a little more humid but I believe it wasn't the original location. The rust is not horrible but some locations are bad, common Camaro rust spots, enough to keep me busy for a while. I'll be starting a restoration thread soon and will post some pics. Car looked really nice but when I started taking things apart it all came out.

Looks nice in the pics! I'm supposed to go look at a 67 rs for a guy. 327 / powerglide Sounds like it's in similar condition to yours, but original / no re-paints.
He wants 9G for it, I guess.
