Hello all,

I've lurked around for a few years, but recently closed on a house and will soon have a garage! A detached single door two-car, 21x18'.

I'd consider myself a car guy and participate in a lot of track day/time trial type stuf. I currently have an E36 M3 track car.

Prior to moving to Boston in '09, I lived in Raleigh, NC where I rented a house with a garage and enjoyed building an E30 track car there. Since moving to Boston, I've been garageless and hating every second of it. Having a few months of the year to hurriedly work outside on crooked jackstands is no fun!

My wife and I just bought a house in Wakefield, MA and will be moving in about a month. I'm so pumped about having a garage again I can barely contain myself. My mind is racing with questions and ideas I know you guys can help out with.

Thanks!
Dan

Dan: might is suggest you read a lot of the garage threads in garage gallery that are similar size to the one you will be buying. there are so many huge ones read those later if you choose to.

one warning if you join in the discussions you'll likely always be buying a new or old vintage tool that you didn't know you needed and do so be ready to have nicer tools and less cash in your wallet.

ask questions if you have any or enjoy the reading.

welcome and congrats on the new house

Thanks all.

I found the garage gallery database and looked through all the garages in my sqft range. That's a great resource!
