Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 1930s era service station in Marfa Texas. This is the far western part of the state between Big Bend National Park (two hours away) and El Paso (three hours away). We are about 60 miles from Mexico. The two-bay station is built out of adobe bricks as are many of the older structures here. I don't have a decent photo, but here is a google street view shot.

I was sent to The Garage Journal from a Mercedes Benz forum on peachparts.com. I have a question about old lifts that I will post separately. Looks like a fun and interesting forum here.

Cool. We go to Ft Davis a couple times per year. I have to admit we usually just pass through Marfa on the way to Presidio. Are you going to make a living with the garage or is it just for fun?

Thanks for the welcome. I'm using the shop as a home base for my construction work. I have a wood shop in the metal building addition in the back. I got the hydraulic in ground lift working yesterday to work on my fleet of clunkers. Here's a better photo from today.

Gringowillie, my shift is to turn on the Marfa Lights only on Thursdays!
