Hello all, I have been lurking for a long time and finally got around to signing up. I am a new first time home owner. My hobbies include restoration of machine tools, antique boats, motorcycles and almost anything else.
The house is north of Detroit, Mi and about 100 years old. The current garage is a very basic 22 X 22 X 7 detached garage that is probably pushing 60-70 years old. It has held up well over the years compared to others in my neighborhood, but having the hobbies I do, I've decided to bite the bullet and build a nice garage. Submitted plans to the city for a 28 X 34 X 10. I will have to apply for a few zoning variances, my final hurdle before construction begins.
I'm going to be starting a new thread to share the build and ask for advice/tips!
