Hello, folks. I've been bouncing around here for awhile but realized I never actually introduced myself in the thread here.
I'm a mechanical engineer living in the Milwaukee area for most of my life. Spent some time in the auto industry, worked on the '04 and '07 Tundra pickup, then got married and found myself back here. Since then I went back to school for an additional degree in engine system design and have worked for Briggs 7 Stratton for almost 8 years. I work on our commercial V-twin engines, Vanguard brand. Have introduced EFI into the market for us this past year and looking at some interesting things down the road as well.
I've been interested in automotive and woodworking things for a long time, and I'm a mopar nut. I've got a '73 Dodge Charger, '98 Durango and '09 Caravan. Only non-Mopar vehicle is my Mazda3 hatch DD that will eventually be replaced with a newer model Challenger. But only after I've squeezed every last mile out of the Mazda....
Here's the Charger in the old garage...

After living in our first house for about 7 years and making a decent basement WW shop and garage auto shop out of it, we took an opportunity to move across town into my Dad's old house. It's actually the house my grandparents built. It's on a great plot of land and was a bit dated but had a lot of potential for expansion. Fast forward 20 months, and we're on the homestretch of putting on a kitchen / bathroom / mudroom and garage addition. Aside from some of the big structural stuff (concrete, framing) I'm doing it all myself as time allows. Basically turned a 2 car garage into a 24' x 64' shop minus one care stall taken for the new bathroom mudroom.
My build thread is over here:

I have compiled so many good ideas from this forum and can't wait to implement a lot of them now that I have a space to work with.
Thanks,
Adam
