My neighbor told me about this site. I am glad I found it. These is a lot of info here from people who also like in to work in a nice garage. I want to build a garage that I can restore an old car in and also have additional parking. My current garage is full. It is a nice garage but I would rather have a separate garage to work in and just use the current attached garage for parking everyday drivers. So the planning begins.
Can someone point me to a site where I may estimate, based on square footage and level of exterior finish, what my dream garage will cost? I am thinking of building a 36x30 garage with Hardiboard siding, heating, 2 lifts, and possible bathroom. In regard to the lifts, one will be for storing a car and the other will be for working on cars. I will add the lifts later but am wording if I need to do something special with the floor under these future lift locations.
