Hello from N. Texas, ~30x~50 Build In Progress

Long time lurker, idea stealer . I'm impressed by the quantity and quality of discussions that I've found here!

I'm hoping to be ~weeks away from getting started on a 1700 SF build here in Northlake, TX.

The garage will be mainly automotive focused, with a 2 post and a 4 post. Looking forward to getting started!

Well, weeks turned into months. Fingers crossed for concrete by the weekend!

Good news is that lumber prices dropped by ~30% in as much time!

We have concrete! Just under 80 yards.

Now trying to keep it wet. Its hot and windy here today.

It starts to feel real once you get that roof on.

Slow progress. Next up insulation, ext. paint, drywall, doors, masonry and some retaining walls/flatwork.

Self performing electrical, and made it through rough inspection. Running new 200A service in a few weeks.

Starting to think about floor finishes, and leaning towards polishing concrete over epoxy/polyaspartic.

Paint, brick/stone, and a man door. Getting there!!

Insulation is in, drywall next week. The irony is that I won't have enough money left to actually work on anything in the shop built to work on things in.....

Been obsessed with lighting for months... knocked it out this weekend. Pictures don't do intensity justice. These linear LEDs are bright.
