First time owning a home, just closed this past Friday. Lucked out in my price range and was able to snag something with a two car garage in town. This is 22x28.

Kind of interesting layout. It has a double garage door at the front, but also a single (non powered) garage door at the back. This will be really nice for ventilation. Also can drive straight into the backyard. Previous owner has put large paver stones outside behind the garage so there is additional flat room to drive out onto.

Here is a photo from the door at the house in:

I don't think the walls are insulated, so that will be a project for sure. Attic above does have insulation however. Five sets of dual T12 4' lamps up top for good light. Need to add more outlets in the garage and a 220V plug.

The rear garage door is nice but also a small hassle. If it weren't there, I'd be building a nice workbench into that corner. But, as it stands I want to be able to access the door. Thinking at this point of either building something that folds up against the wall, or just something on rollers.

Luckily the house has a basement with a workbench already built in, and a storage shed out back so I can hopefully keep the garage uncluttered except for cars and projects.

For now the Jetta will live inside with the wife's GTI. My DD Honda gets to sleep outside in the rain normally.

Comments or suggestions (especially concerning rolling/fold away work surfaces) are welcome.
