After 20 years of living in suburbia with 1/4 acre lots and tiny (20'x20') garages, we finally moved two months ago into an area that I wanted to live in my entire life. 4 1/2 acres and so many trees you can't see the neighbors.
One of the next steps is having an attached garage built to house our cars (as well as any toys) plus a small workshop. I'm hoping to get ideas and advice here. I'm already worried that I'll make a choice about electrical/heating/lighting/concrete/framing/layout/finishes that I will regret after construction.
Anyway, I look forward to lurking and asking the occasional question.
