I've lurked for a while and finally bit the bullet. I'm having an electrical issue/question in my garage so what better place to ask.

I didn't know how to fill out the registration forms. I've got cars, motorcycles and love anything that burns fossil fuels. I can weld (have welders), build BBQ smokers, have pretty much a full woodshop (TS, RAS, lathe, 2 bandsaws, planer, jointer... router table, drill presses, etc. I have a lot of ****. Working on acquiring some metal stuff. Recently picked up a Southbend 9A and a horizontal bandsaw. She's into 3d printing stuff and I'd really like to build a wood (or metal) CNC someday...

I recently finished basically rebuilding our house (while we lived in it). Insulation (made my own legit insulation blower/hopper), complete rewire, fixed a lot of structural and rot issues, re-piped the heating and plumbing, put solar on the roof, worked for a stone mason one summer after college so attempted to rebuild the chimney from the roof up. That was a disaster (came out nice --but crooked so I tore it down and hired it out.

We have 3ph, 4W 208Y at our house too so that's fun. Yes it is real 208 Wye. And no, we aren't special, our whole neighborhood (about 225 homes) all have 208Y. That means I can do things like buy 3ph 19kw marine generators from salvage yards for when the power goes out. We just bought a little ski cabin place that has 120/240 split phase (pretty much what every house in the usa has) and I'm feeling a little electrically clueless.

anyway... Hello!

You people are weird down there. I don't understand your classes. Probably like Canada electric code and NEC --three words are different. What cars/class do you have or what class are you into? You guys do V-8's like we do NASCAR right? But I'm sure you have other classes and club groups (and autox). I did BMWCCA spec e30 for a few years then (got divorced, remarried, fixed up a house, had kid #1)... and finally starting to realize I have a car in the garage on a rotisserie that may never see an engine if kids **** and need diapers changed at this frequency I'm seriously screwed.

Happy wife = happy life = never see the garage again... so keyboard warrior is best alternative I guess :)

edit: spelling & grammar
