Long time lurker and finally posting. Zoning has approved my 30x40x12 poll building and we're breaking ground. Shirk will be out here on Tuesday the 25th for a consultation and down payment. Here's a photo of my son digging out the last of 30+ oaks removed on the site. Thank you all for the knowledge contributed to this site making my homework a whole lot easier.

JerseyJeep95....Hello and welcome from Ohio! Did you rent that Kubota or is it yours ? I'm jealous! I want one. Don't know what, if any, your building limits may b, but a 32'x40' is a multiple of 8' on centers and you would be gaining 80 sq ft! Good luck.

I'd love to go bigger but I'm at my upper limit for soil coverage. I was glad when zoning came back with the ok for 1200sq.

I rented the Kubota. It was a KX71-3. In my opinion it was a little weak compared to the CAT I used previously.

The date is set! 8-23 the framing starts.

I added a few options such as scissor trussing, 12x10 doors and high lift tracks. Leon said hes never heard the phrase "my doors are too big" come from anyone's mouth.

I plan on putting a lift to raise my 1 ton pickup so the added door and ceiling height will be to my benefit.

Yesterday the material arrived at 6:45am. The crew arrived at 7:00 on the dot and had the first hole punched at 7:35. I'm extremely impressed how well this crew worked together. They only stopped for a short break to wait for the Township building inspector and for a quick lunch around noon. They had the entire frame up by 3pm.
