Found this site today and it's beautiful!

I currently have a house that had a half-basketball court built where I want to build a garage/workshop. The court is a 36' x 36' slab. I'm trying to find out more info on who built the court because if I can use that slab, it would save a ton of money.

I'll be lurking and getting ideas until I'm ready to start building (currently designing the shop using Home Design Studio). Hope to post a build thread before Summer!

Welcome to GJ, from the Bay area. My wife served her time in G'ville...

Sure, you can reuse the slab, depending on what you want to do with it. Need to verify the thickness to see how much of a load can be put on it. Edges can be dug out and footers added to carry wall loads, or cut out what is needed for column footings, then pour back flush with surface.

Start a thread in 'Garage Gallery' and you will get plenty of support and advice, some of which is may actually be useful!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! And glad to see there are some folks that were local to me at some time! I'm reading through a lot of builds in the gallery! Great stuff. I'll start my own thread when I get going! Thanks!
