So glad i found this forum. Moved into a home with a 2 car garage. Not use to wood frame homes. Being from south florida, our home had large footing, block walls with stocco finish, tie beam, hurricane straps........

We had a small one car garage with all 4 block stucco walls, used tapcons to secure shelves to the wall. Sometimes use hilti bolts for larger, heavier items..

Our new home is wood frame with brick finish an all 4 walls. The garage was thin wood paneling. (Thought this was only used in the 70's) There 2 rows of blocks on the floor then the wood wall is in too of that. Ceiling height is about 11 or 12 foot. Im able to stand a 10 foot 2x4 and still have space.

There's lots of peg boards and 2 work benches. One made out of 2x6 and 2x4,slapped together. The other seems to be a large wood office desk.

Anyhow, glad to have found this forum. Been reading lots of posts, getting tons of ideas. I'll be asking for your suggestion in the upcoming weeks. Hope to start working on the garage soon.

Will post pictures before getting started...

Thanks,

Joe

East wall.....
Made some shelves between windows to place containers....

West wall...

North wall...
Started building a bench on the left corner, realized it was too close to breaker panel. Going a different direction..

Boxes fill up the garage.

Trying to lay out a location for spray can cabinet, additional shelves with doors, place air compressor in a permanent location.

The wood panel on all walls, I do not like and not ready to install drywall or plywood. Debating which will work best. At the very least I may drywall the house side.

Will keep you guys posted...
