I have been viewing the board for a while now and have made a few posts in the last week and felt I should introduce myself.
The short of it is that I'm from Canada, started apprenticing as a Heavy Duty Repair Mechanic (yes we were called mechanics then) in the early eighties , left the trade and returned to university and now work in a an engineering firm. I still do mechanical work on weekends as a hobby for myself and friends.
I favor North American tools and the majority of my collection includes Gray Tools, Snap-on, Klein and Proto. Although I prefer certain brands I have used most of what is available at some time or other and can't speak bad of any of them except the $10.00 sockets sets from the corner store.
Attached are a few pictures of my 20' x 24' garage, my toys and the guard dogs that protect it all.
I hope we can learn from each other and I can be an asset to the group.
