Hello GJ(unkies)!

I guess I've been a member for two months shy of a year now and it's about time I got the inaugural post out of the way.

My name is Tam. I'm currently attending a local college full time working towards an A.S. for auto mechanics and also one for collision repair technology.

I found my way on to this forum by searching the web for tool purchasing advice and though my tool collection is minimal at this point, I've found this site to be an invaluable resource.

I plan on purchasing my first tool cart soon and spent last night reading 40 some odd pages of the "show-me-your-cart" thread. AWESOME! :lol_hitti

I'm not sure which side of the industry I'll end up in, but I hope to be successful enough to build amazing collections and a personal garage of my own like some of you have.

Cheers!

Tam

Welcome to the Garage! Now do yourself a favor, stay in school and start studying law or medicine or real estate or engineering cause right now your headed towards long , grueling days wrenching for Ahole bosses, annoying customers and being under paid and over worked. By the time your in your 50's, your body is sore and tired and your temper is on the edge. Unless of course your like me and love cars :bounce:

Thank you!

Thank you for the welcome and the advice! I lost my job a couple of years ago and am fortunate enough to move back in with my folks and go to school. I know the value of an education (not as far as it used to go) as well as a skill/trade in today's economy.

Ultimately the trade is a way to support myself. If it ends up being a career, awesome. I plan on fulfilling Kaiser's radiological technology program requirements as I work towards my A.S. and eventually working my way towards a Bachelors degree and taking the world as it comes. :D
