Been lurking on the forums here for a few months and figured it's time to post up and introduce myself.
I'm in the Northeast IL area a few min south of the WI border.
My garage is a 24x26 detatched located behind our ranch house. It's not my dream shop, and is more function than form, but it works for me right now until I can budget a bigger shop.
My hobby is repairing and restoring 80's Mopars, primarily the Turbo 2.2 powered Shelby cars of the era. I also do the maintenance on our other cars as well as a bit of work for family, friends and neighbors as time permits. I've got over 20 cars and currently rent an old 30x100 chicken coop about 24miles from home that provides dry storage for 16 cars and tons of parts.
I came across this site when researching a mid rise lift I recently purchased. My garage is my workshop, the cars we drive daily are stuck outside unless they are in there for repairs, otherwise I keep the projects in the garage.
I've got no pictures of my mess on hand, but it's slowly evolving into a do-it all shop. I've got most of the tools I need to do any automotive work, and an odd hammer and saw for some basic around the house carpentry.
I've read a few threads here on my lunch breaks and added a bookmark to the site on my garage PC, enjoying all the information and getting some good ideas on how to better use my space and tools
