Hello. Finally after almost 5-6 months of permits, construction, and finishing touches I have the garage of my dreams at our new house.

- 21 wide x 23 long (can only have up to 500sq ft here).
- 12.5’ ceilings

My wife has been very supportive of this and my new tools:
- Bendpak HD-9 lift
- 60gal air compressor (my first compressor)
- Harbor Freight 72” Toolchest
- Harbor Freight Rolling Toolchest
- Craftsman Storage Cabinets
- Craftsman workbench
- Lincoln Square Wave 200 TIG welder (my first welder)
- other odds and ends

My only complaints is that the garage door tracks are only at like 9’ up so I can’t have the door open with a car up in the air.

Will definitely be creating a few newbie threads on certain tool usage and recommendations.

Here is how I set up my air compressor lines:

Whip hose from compressor to dryer, filter, line out (to lift w/ separate regulator), regulator for tools, line out.

I haven’t yet put up the air regulator on the lift side.

Nice garage. Do you have any room for high lift tracks or are you up against the ceiling slope?

Welcome from another northern Virginia member (though I'm a bit farther west then you). Nice Chevelle. Always thought that was the best color and stripe combination for a 69.

Tracks can’t go any higher. Can use a roll up door but want the extra insulation.

I am okay with the compromise of having the door closed with the car up in the air, if it means having a lift or not :)
