Kinda new around here, been lurking about some, so I thought I better introduce myself. Sir name is Steve, but have been called many other names, so don't be discouraged if I don't answer, I may be going by a different name at that particular time. :headscrat
I have recently retired from the Army Reserves with 27years (with 10 years active) and I am thinking hard about retirement from my other job, working for the Air Force, 32 years.
My overall plan for my retirement is to build a 30x30 shop on my 10 acres and treat it as my new job, report for work early in the morning have my coffee read my paper and tinker on my motorcycles all day, (slowly building a chopper right now). Return to the main house in the evening when the wife get home from her job, she is my personnal secretary and a professional photographer, still waiting to meet the models.
Anyway that is me and I hope to share my build as time goes on.

Well, its been many years and things didn't go as planned. I no longer have my 10 acres and 30x30 shop, never got the sides on it. My wife's parents needed some help so we fixed up the place, sold out and moved 3 plus hour north to Grand Lake to help them out. As we were looking for a place nothing seemed to fit so we parked the RV and moved in, and contacted a builder. Long story short I finally got my first actual garage, a modest 2 car with my wife's house attached, so she can keep me. After retiring she kept telling me to slow down and in 2019 I had to have 2 heart surgeries, so I slowed down. Now I spend my days tinkering in the garage with my service dog and my personal protector a blue healer who checks all the tires for punctures. Maybe some day I can post a few picture after I get some things on the walls.

Welcome to the forum from a Retired Sailor who lives on the shore of San Diego Bay. I don't work much anymore, my legs get tired and I am easily distracted.
