Just joined after finding this site researching 4 post lifts. Great site!
My primary hobby is old cars & I collect some tools.
I,m 62, married 32yrs, 1 son(packaging engineer for GM in Warren),a dog & 2 cats. I live in the woods & wouldn't have it any other way.
I own an equipment rental business in Manistee for 23 yrs. We also sell power equipment(Snapper, Echo, Little Wonder, Briggs) & service all brands.
Hopefully, I can help answer some questions in the future.
My life in a nutshell. Bob

The Firebird is (was) an Esprit. The last build I added all of the T/A spoilers, flares, fender ducts and dash so it does look the part. :) It is all apart again with the back half gutted.

I do have a question for you... I am getting a Cub Cadet 1045 lawn tractor (2005-2008) for free. It needs a new mower deck. I can weld this one but just wondering if you have a source for parts like this? I would also like to pick up a snow blower attachment for it.

Funny you should ask. We just researched a Cub snowblower for an employee. Cub is now owned by MTD, & they will sell(new units) thru their dealers only. It's possible that a MTD dealer might be able to help also, if the same blower will fit MTD branded tractors.
Mower decks typically are God awful expensive($400-500). If you can get me a model # I will see if I can get it. If it's not too rough, welding is probably your best bet.
I'm not at the shop today, but tomorrow I can get you a ph # to a place Kalkaska way that has lots of scrap riders, saws, snowmobiles, etc.

Yea, those are the numbers I am coming UP with also. I haven't gotten the mower home yet so I haven't seen what the damage is. I'll probably just patch it up if I can't find a decent used one. This one sat outside for a year and it went south real quick. the tractor runs good though and should make a good addition to my lawn mowing arsenal.
I will do some looking for a blower, a number would be much appreciated. :)

Astroracer: the business is Dupuie's small engine, 231-258-5771. They're actually a Snapper & Husqvarna dealer, but they have a large scrap yard. It's a longshot, but give them a call. Unfortunatly, decks are blowing out on many brands. I've seen more trashed decks in the last 3 yrs then in the last 20. Bob
